Jet Airways will expand its operations to Dubai next month, with the launch of new flights from Mumbai and Delhi.
Effective 1 March 2016, the Indian carrier will add a sixth daily frequency from Mumbai to Dubai, following which it will provide more services on the route than any other airline. Then on 27 March, Jet will launch a third daily flight between Delhi and Dubai.
With the launch of the new frequencies, Jet will operate a total of 11 daily flights between India and Dubai, including other services from Kochi and Mangalore.
“Jet Airways is delighted to introduce additional frequencies from Mumbai and Delhi to Dubai providing greater choice and convenience to our guests on these popular routes,” said Gaurang Shetty, Jet’s senior vice president of commercial.
“Dubai is amongst our most popular destinations for business and leisure travellers and it was only fitting to increase capacity to this key market. The new frequencies will enable Jet Airways to offer guests a wide choice of departure times to/from Dubai and convenient domestic connections via our hubs in Mumbai and Delhi.”
The sixth daily Mumbai-Dubai flight will initially be a morning service, departing the Indian city at 0705. The return flight will leave Dubai at 1110. But from 27 March it will change to an evening flight, with the outbound service leaving Mumbai at 2025 and the inbound flight departing Dubai at 2320.
The extra Delhi flight will leave the Indian capital at 0225, with the return service departing Dubai at 0540. Jet will operate both routes using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
