Jet Airways has announced the introduction of its third, non-stop, daily service between London Heathrow and Mumbai.
Beginning October 2017, as part of the airline’s winter schedule, the planned departure for the new daytime service from Heathrow is 1530 hrs (local time), with arrival in Mumbai at 0555 hrs (local time).
On its return, it will depart Mumbai at convenient 0905 hrs to arrive in London Heathrow at 1335 hrs (local time).
Air travel between the United Kingdom and India has been showing a steady, annual growth of nearly 10% over the last few years.
The new flight should boost Jet Airways’ passenger and cargo capacity between the United Kingdom and India by almost 33%, allowing the airline to capitalise on the growing round-the-year demand being witnessed between the United Kingdom and India, on the back of fast expanding relationships in the areas of trade, commerce, tourism, culture, and education.
The third, non-stop service will offer guests onward connectivity to 21 destinations in India including Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bangalore, Kozhikode, Kolkata, Coimbatore, Kochi, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Indore, Bagdogra, Chandigarh, Mangalore, Madurai, Jodhpur, Lucknow, Chennai, Nagpur, Pune and Vishakhapatnam, due to an improved connection time in Mumbai.
The third non-stop frequency also connects beyond India to five international destinations including Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Kathmandu and Singapore.
Jayaraj Shanmugam, chief commercial officer for the airline, said, “Jet Airways is delighted to offer a third non-stop service between London Heathrow and Mumbai. The new frequency will enable us to offer our Guests enhanced connectivity within and beyond India, offering greater choice, convenience and comfort. Our world-class experience together with our signature Indian hospitality makes us stand apart from the competition.”
