Jet Airways is expanding its operations in Thailand with the launch of two new daily flights to Bangkok.
On 27 March 2016, the Indian carrier will launch a third daily frequency from Mumbai to Bangkok and a second daily service between Delhi and the Thai capital. Once launched, these new flights will give Jet the most number of Bangkok flights of any Indian carrier.
“Bangkok has been a popular destination for business and leisure travellers and demand on routes from India to Bangkok continues to grow. By adding more capacity to this key destination from our hubs in Mumbai and Delhi we aim to provide easy connectivity with convenient schedules linking to our wider domestic network,” said Gaurang Shetty, Jet’s senior vice president of commercial.
The third daily Mumbai flight will depart the Indian city at 1250 and arrive at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 1850. The return leg will take off at 1540 and arrive back in Mumbai at 1840.
The second daily Delhi flight will leave the Indian capital at 1400 and arrive in Bangkok at 1945. It will then leave Bangkok at 0840 and touch down in Delhi at 1140.
Both new flights will be operated using Jet’s 168-seat, two-class Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Passengers will be offered onward connections from Bangkok to a range of Southeast Asian destinations through Jet’s codeshare partners.
