India’s Jet Airways will add more capacity to Bangkok in the coming weeks, to meet expected strong demand.
The Bangkok Post reports that the airline will deploy a twin-aisle Airbus A330-200 aircraft on one of its three daily Mumbai-Bangkok flights, replacing the single-aisle Boeing 737 that currently operates the flight. The use of the 236-seat, two-class A330 will increase capacity by 50%.
The A330 service departs Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport every day at 0800 and arrives at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 1355. The return service then leaves the Thai capital at 1525 and arrives back in Mumbai at 1825.
Jet also operates twice daily flights between Delhi and Bangkok, but these will continue to be operated using the B737.
