Jet Airways boosts domestic network with multiple flights

Jet Airways is expanding its domestic network with the addition of new flights to multiple Indian destinations.
The expansion has already commenced, with the addition of new daily services connecting Bhopal and Indore with Lucknow, via Delhi. These routes launched last week, along with another daily flight connecting Bhopal with Hyderabad, via Mumbai, and a third daily flight on the Hyderabad-Rajahmundry route.
And the domestic growth continues this week, with the addition of a ninth daily flight on the Mumbai-Chennai route on 23 July. This extra service will depart Mumbai at 1310, with the return flight leaving Chennai at 1540.
Also on 23 July, Jet will introduce a new morning frequency on the Kolkata–Bengaluru route. Operating every day except Tuesday, the new flight will depart Kolkata at 1045, while the return service will take off from Bengaluru at 1430. With the introduction of this flight, passengers from Guwahati, Patna and Ranchi will be offered connecting flights to Bengaluru via Kolkata.
The on 16 September, Jet will commence a new early morning flight from Mangaluru to Mumbai. The new service will depart Mangaluru at 0515, with the return service leaving Mumbai at 1725. This marks the fourth daily frequency on this route.
“The additional frequencies have been introduced to cater to the growing demand on the high density routes and to ensure better connectivity between India’s emerging cities,” said Raj Sivakumar, Jet’s chief commercial officer.
“Our constant effort is to provide our guests with convenient travel options and seamless connectivity across our network. These new frequencies are in line with Jet Airways’ strategy to deliver a consistent, full service travel experience on the domestic network.”
With the addition of these new flights, Jet will increase its domestic capacity from 63,500 to 64,500 seats per day.
