Jet Airways has boosted its international operations with the addition of extra flights to three key destinations – Bangkok, Colombo and Doha.
Earlier this month, Jet added a third daily direct flight on the Mumbai-Bangkok route. This makes Jet the Indian carrier with the most amount of flights to Bangkok, and under a new agreement with Vietnam Airlines it will also offer onward connections to Ho Chi Minh City.
This new flight, 9W060, departs Mumbai at 1255 and arrives at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 1835. The return flight, 9W061, leaves Bangkok at 0855 and arrives back into Mumbai at 1155.
Also this month, Jet has added a second daily flight to Colombo. Flight 9W252 will now depart Mumbai every day at 1805, arriving in the Sri Lankan capital at 2035. The return flight, 9W251, leaves Colombo at 2135 and arrives back into Mumbai at 0015.
Finally, Jet has also boosted its Gulf operations with the launch of a new service to Doha. The second daily flight from Mumbai to the Qatari capital, numbered 9W560, will leave at 0120 and arrive at 0245. The return leg from Doha, 9W559, departs at 0345 and arrives in Mumbai at 0930.
Jet also links Doha with daily flights from Delhi and Kochi, so now it operates four daily services to the Gulf city.
“Jet Airways is delighted to introduce these additional frequencies from Mumbai to Doha, Colombo and Bangkok that will afford its guests the convenience of seamless travel and unmatched flight options,” said Gaurang Shetty, the airline’s senior vice president of commercial.
“Jet Airways has already established itself as a prestigious brand in these competitive sectors in a relatively short period of time and these enhanced connectivity further emphasises the airline’s commitment to growing this market.”
Jet Airways currently operates more than 560 daily flights, both domestic and international.
