Jet Airways will upgrade its flights between Delhi and Singapore later this month, offering more seat capacity on the route.
Effective 25 November 2015, the airline will replace the single-aisle Boeing 737 aircraft that currently operates the route with a twin-aisle Airbus A330.
Providing a total of 254 seats – 18 in business class and 236 in economy – this new aircraft will offer 50% more capacity than the B737. It will also feature seatback in-flight entertainment screens and full F&B service.
“We are happy to deploy Jet Airways’ spacious and modern wide-body aircraft to provide additional capacity on the highly popular Delhi-Singapore–Delhi route,” said Gaurang Shetty, Jet’s senior vice president of commercial. “This sector has seen a steady growth in traffic, particularly among business travellers. In addition, connecting traffic over Singapore to Australia and the ASEAN region booked through codeshare and interline partners is also growing rapidly.
“The combination of comfort and luxury of wide-body services and attractive frequent flyer benefits makes Jet Airways the perfect option for travellers to Singapore and beyond,” he added.
Using the A330, Jet flight 9W018 will depart Delhi every day at 0955 and arrive at Singapore’s Changi airport at 1815. The return service, 9W017, will then depart Singapore at 1945 and arrive back in Delhi at 2255.
