Jet Airways is increasing connectivity between Singapore and India, with the launch of a second daily flight direct from Chennai.
From 1 August 2013, the full service carrier will add a new daytime service on the route, complementing the existing night flight. Services will depart Chennai at 1215 and arrive in Singapore at 1905. The return leg will leave Singapore at 2020, getting back into the Tamil Nadu city at 2205. Flights will be operated using a Boeing 737 aircraft.
Sudheer Raghavan, chief commerical officer of Jet Airways said, “Jet Airways is happy to introduce a second service on the high density Chennai-Singapore route following an increased demand due to tourist and business traffic. With the introduction of this additional service, we aim to popularize this amongst guests wanting seamless connectivity to Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Vietnam via Singapore, with our codeshare partners. The new flight would also help in connecting our guests flying into Chennai from the south and other neighboring cities.”
