Jet Airways will expand its fleet in the next three-four years.
The airline has placed firm order for 46 new aircraft, with one plane being inducted every month in its fleet.
The airline will take the delivery of 12 Boeing 737 narrow-bodied planes this year, KG Vishwanath, Vice President for Commercial Strategy and Investor Relations was quoted as saying by Economic Times. The airline will also conduct a 10-year study of routes and network before it takes a decision to order new planes.
The fleet expansion aims to bolster its network post a stake sale to Abu-Dhabi’s Etihad Airways.
