Jetstar has launched a new route connecting Singapore with Danang.
Flights will now operate three times a week (Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays) using a 180-seat Airbus A320 aircraft. The launch makes Jetstar the first low-cost carrier to serve this route.
“This is an exciting day as our customers – both from Singapore and abroad – will for the first time be able to enjoy low fares to this popular destination” said Jetstar Asia’s CEO, Barathan Pasupathi, who was onboard the inaugural flight.
“Danang is just under three hours from Singapore and is the perfect getaway for the busy executive looking for the relaxing weekend golfing or beach combing.
“With this service, Da Nang will also be more accessible to Southeast Asian and Australian travellers through Changi Airport,” he added.
Danang becomes Jetstar Asia’s second destination in Vietnam, after Ho Chi Minh City. And the airline’s regional expansion will continue in the coming days, with flights to the Indonesian cities of Palembang and Pekanbaru starting on 3 and 10 December respectively.
