Sri Lankan hotel company Jetwing has opened a new jet water sports centre in the resort town of Negombo.
The usually still waters of the Negombo Lagoon will now play host to a series of high-powered activities, such as banana boat rides, water skiing, wakeboarding and jet skiing.
The centre forms part of the Jetwing Lagoon resort.
Hiran Cooray, chairman of Jetwing, commented; “Ever since we launched the resort, we have kept adding in dimensions to the property that have seen immense success – beginning with the beautiful beach and lounge area opposite the hotel, the newly developed Ayurveda spa, and now water sports. We look forward to seeing this fresh venture thrive, and to be popular with all our guests as well as those who visit Negombo.”
The new water sports centre was launched in a ceremony last week, attended by Cooray. It adds to the Jetwing Lagoon’s existing facilities, which include a spa, restaurants, bars, and conference and banqueting space.
