Jetwing, the Sri Lankan hotel group, has unveiled a new upscale resort on the country’s less developed east coast.

The new Sunrise by Jetwing is set on Passikudah Bay, overlooking a long stretch of white sandy beach and shallow water. The resort features 58 rooms and suites in three separate wings, all with balconies or terraces. Twenty-six of the rooms offer sea views.

Facilities at the property include a restaurant, Sky Bar, a 109-metre-long swimming pool, an open air jacuzzi, a spa with steam room and sauna, and a fitness centre. And guests can participate in such activities as cycling, scuba diving, snorkelling, wind surfing and kite boarding.

Sunrise by Jetwing becomes the company’s 26th hotel or villa property in Sri Lanka, and it will continue to expand in the coming months with the launch of the Jetwing Colombo Seven, Jetwing Lake in Dambulla and Jie Jie by Jetwing in Panadura.
