The SATC is in a unique position to be recruiting to Regional Manager, South East Asia role, based in Singapore. This critical role will provide oversight and insight to the South East Asia markets for the South Australian Tourism Commission by setting and implementing strategies that will increase visitation to South Australia from this market, aligned with the SATC Annual Marketing Operational Plan. This role will position South Australia as an attractive holiday in the minds of consumers through innovative marketing campaign activity and drive relationships and initiatives with key travel trade partners in South East Asia.

Key Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Develop and implement an Annual Operating Plan aligned with SATCs Annual Marketing Operational Plan and marketing strategy to promote South Australia in key South East Asia markets, including independent SATC activity and Tourism Australia led One Voice activity.
  • Identify and implement marketing opportunities with wholesalers, airlines, Tourism Australia, SA government and other partners, including non-tourism related partners.
  • Work with the wider SATC Adelaide marketing team to ensure owned assets (including southaustralia.com, eDMs, etc) are suitable for South East Asian markets.
  • Develop and implement consumer marketing activities with airline and wholesale partners to facilitate conversion of bookings to South Australia.
  • Compile campaign briefs prior to activities and ensure results are communicated to the SATC Adelaide Office.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with travel trade in key South East Asian markets
  • Establish and deliver a targeted familiarisation program for the travel trade across South East Asian markets, including product managers, wholesale reservation staff and retail agents.
  • In consultation with the General Manager, Public Relations and PR Advisor, International assist with Public Relations (PR) initiatives as required.

The role will be offered as a three year employment contract and subject to six months’ probation and participation in regular performance reviews.
