In a recent development, minister of tourism and antiquities Nayef Al-Fayez, and chairman of China National Tourism Administration (CNTA), Li Jinzao discussed tourism cooperation between Jordan and China.

This cooperation is in accordance with the mutual tourism cooperation agreement recently signed in Beijing.

The agreement aims to promote travel of Chinese tourist groups to Jordan and includes designating representatives from the CNTA, to follow up on visa-related issues at the Jordanian embassy and exchange information, in addition to appointing guides to escort groups traveling to Jordan and resolve obstacles, if any.

As per statistics, number of Chinese tourists to Jordan this year totaled 9,381, marking an increase of 1.6% compared to 9,236 in 2014.
