In an effort to promote sustainable activities 
in the region, a recent environmental awareness campaign was launched by the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) and sponsored by Total Jordan titled ‘Amman Baitna’ (Amman, Our Home). The initiative encourages citizens of Amman to conserve their city by playing a significant role in preventing litter. GAM launched ‘Amman Baitna’ in 2012 focusing on the environment, health, services, the City’s urban heritage and culture.
