Marriott has continued its expansion in India with the launch of its second luxury JW Marriott hotel in Mumbai.
The JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar is a brand new property located just one kilometre from the city’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
Covering more than six hectares, the hotel offers 585 rooms and suites, plus multiple F&B outlets, a 24-hour fitness centre and outdoor swimming pool. It also houses Asia’s first Spa by JW, which features seven treatment rooms, a private couple’s jacuzzi, two steam and sauna rooms and two separate jacuzzis for men and women.
Finally for the MICE market, JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar offers a 930m² ballroom, 11 meeting rooms and outdoor event space.
“India is an important part of Marriott International’s global growth strategy,” said Arne Sorenson, Marriott’s president & CEO Marriott. “India is a great, growing economy and as that economy grows, its need for hotel rooms grows too. JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar will be a premier luxury business hotel in India, setting a benchmark for service excellence.”
Following this latest opening there are now seven JW Marriott hotels in India, in Mumbai, Chandigarh, Delhi, Pune and Mussoorie.
