The Middle East travel arena is gearing up for new destination. In line with this trend, Kenya Tourism Board recently launched its new travel agents online training program designed specifically for the Middle East Market.
The program is covered across five modules each providing travel agents with an in-depth look at the variety of tourism products available throughout Kenya. The program will train agents on many key aspects of Kenya’s tourism industry, from visa information, to various national parks and lesser known facts of Kenya.
The launch took place with the cooperation of Kenya Tourism Board and Kenya Airways. Fatma Bashir, regional marketing manager for Kenya Tourism Board said: “The training programme helps agents to have a better understanding of the destination. Many agents have a broad idea of the destination, and focus mainly on the safari product, but through this training program, we hope to show a whole new side of Kenya to the region.”
