Mid-market hotel chain, Keys Hotels, last week signed six new properties as it actively pursues more opportunities across the country.
The six new hotels include the Keys Hotel Rosewood in Mumbai, Keys Hotel Cypress in Pune, Keys Hotel City Park in Amritsar, Keys Resort Ronil in Goa, Keys Resort Albertsville in Alibaug, and Keys Hotel Ajnara in Noida.
Keys Hotels, which has sub brands including Keys Resorts and Keys Apartments, currently has 1,078 rooms on its books. That number will more than double 2,638 rooms by 2014, as parent company Berggruen Hotels targets a portfolio of 50 properties by 2016.
“We have 11 properties at present and 16 more are under development, taking the total to 27. We are also in talks with another 65 potential clients for property management across the country. We have lined up a total investment of INR610 crore for the expansion, which is a mix of equity and debt,” Managing Director and CEO of Berggruen Hotels, Sanjay Sethi, told PTI.
