Khiri Travel has launched a series of new walking and cycling trips across Southeast Asia.

The Bangkok-based destination management company will now offer a walking tour in Phnom Penh, offering visitors the chance to experience the local street food, plus a walking tour around the old town of Phuket, taking in the Sino-Portuguese architecture. In addition, Khiri will offer a Yangon Heritage Walk in Myanmar’s largest city, taking guests on a tour of the area’s colonial buildings.

For cyclists, Khiri also has three options. The first takes guests on a tour of the Plain of Jars in northern Laos, while another offers the chance to experience the ancient city of Bagan, in Myanmar, “without temples”. Finally Khiri is also offering a cycling trip around Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam.

“These… trips have been specifically designed to allow our guests to get closer to communities, enhance understanding and make local discoveries not available on most other outings,” said Willem Niemeijer, the CEO & co-founder of Khiri Travel.

Meanwhile, Khiri has also unveiled a more immersive seventh trip – a two-day adventure in northern Thailand, including an overnight stay in a Karen village, bamboo rafting and forest trekking.
