Khiri Travel has launched four new itineraries designed to take guests to more remote areas of Indochina.
The new multi-day trips offer guests the chance to visit traditional villages in central Vietnam, Islamic coastal communities in Krabi, the Mon and Kayin states in Myanmar, and remote Cambodian islands.
“Go local and escape the crowds,” said Willem Niemeijer, CEO of Khiri Travel. “Thresh rice, pick coffee, paint batik, visit remote temples and sleep in a stilt house. Then head to the beach. Each journey is a rewarding holiday experience with plenty of insights along the way.”
The four-day/three-night ‘Koh Klang Eco’ Experience focuses on local Muslim fishing communities in southern Thailand, while in central Vietnam guests can visit Kontum and Pleiku to stay with hilltribes in traditional bamboo houses.
The recent opening of the Mae Sot/Myawaddy border between Thailand and Myanmar has allowed Khiri to create a four-day/three night trip to Kayin and Mon States in Myanmar, and in Cambodia a three-day/two-night ‘Island Paradise’ trip explores the Koh Rong Samloem islands.
