klapsons, the brand behind the Design Hotels-affiliated boutique hotel in Singapore, has now officially launched its first property in Bangkok.
Originally launched in November 2014, klapsons The River Residences Bangkok has now marked its official opening, offering a collection of long-stay serviced apartments and residences on the banks of the Chao Praya River.
Located across the river from Saphan Taksin BTS skytrain station and a series of riverfront attractions, the new property features a total of 77 units with river and city views. With a minimum stay of 30 days, the property is designed for corporate travellers.
“As the commercial centre of Thailand and a major tourist hub in Southeast Asia, Bangkok is seeing a new generation of long-term business and leisure travellers who are seeking accommodation for one month or more,” said Somyos Puddang, general manager at klapsons The River Residences Bangkok.
“Our rooms have been designed to cater to these guests, providing all the comforts of a condominium to offer a unique ‘home away from home’ concept.”
Facilities at klapsons include a fitness centre, two outdoor sports courts, a sky garden and three swimming pools, including one infinity-edged pool overlooking the river. There is also a regular boat service taking guests to the BTS station.
Units range from 58 to 232m² and include separate living areas, kitchens and up to three bedrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. A concierge is on hand to handle guest requests, while laundry and grocery shopping services are available.
The property forms part of The River, a large 800+ unit condominium developed by Thai real estate giant Raimonland. And Alex Loh, managing director of klapsons, told Travel Daily that more klapsons properties could emerge in Thailand, as part of future Raimonland developments.
klapsons The River Residences Bangkok is a member of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
