Korean Air has been recognised by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) for its efforts in minimising passengers waiting times.
The airline has received the Green Certificate as part of IATA’s Fast Travel Program, which is aimed at driving improvements in passenger service at airports.
The programme covers six areas of a passenger’s journey: automated check-in, baggage, document checks, flight re-booking, self-boarding and baggage recovery. Airlines meeting some or all these requirements receive Green, Gold and Platinum rankings.
Korean Air has attained the Green ranking by meeting three of the requirements at Incheon International Airport: automated check-in, flight re-booking and baggage.
“We will continue to work on strengthening our cooperation with airports and enhancing our services to enable passengers to enjoy the best travel experience with Korean Air from check-in to boarding,” said a Korean Air spokesperson.
Korean Air now offers kiosk check-in facilities and web check-in services.
