Korean Air is planning to launch flights to the US city of Houston.
Commencing in May 2014, the airline will operate four direct weekly flights connecting Seoul’s Incheon International Airport and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. Flights will run every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday using Korean Air’s 261-seat, three-class Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.
“We’re very bullish on the Americas,” says John Jackson, Korean Air’s vice president of marketing for the Americas. “Houston is the fifth largest metro area in the US with a very strong travel market to Asia. We’ve decided to earn our fair share of the market with a highly competitive product and service that’s hard to beat.”
Houston will become Korean Air’s 11th destination in the US, following Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Honolulu, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington DC.
