KIMY CHEN has been announced as Cachet Hotel Group’s new president of Southeast Asia. The move marks a promotion for Ms Chen, who previously helped grow the Cachet brand in Greater China, including negotiating the acquisition of JIA Shanghai and other high-profile projects.

WOUTER BANNING has been named as Cachet Hotel Group’s vice president of operations for Southeast Asia. A seasoned hospitality executive with more than 20 years’ experience, Banning has managed several Asian properties including the Frasers serviced residences in three countries.

KERRIE HANNAFORD has been appointed as AccorHotels’ new director of sales & marketing for New Zealand, Fiji & French Polynesia, based in Auckland. Having begun her AccorHotels career in 2005 at the Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa, she has since worked for the company in Australia and the US.

MARK WINTERTON has become the new area general manager for IHG Singapore and GM of the InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay. A seasoned hotel professional, he joined IHG in 1995 and moved to Asia in 2007 as GM of Crowne Plaza Changi Airport. He has also worked in Bangkok.

CHRISTINE TANG has become Destination NSW’s first business development manager for southern China. Based at the newly-opened Guangzhou office, she will now be tasked with driving tourism to New South Wales from the region. Previously, Ms Tang worked for the Singapore Tourism Board.

BRIAN CONNELLY has become the new general manager of the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu hotel. A US national, he has almost 40 years of experience in Asia, including spells with Hilton, Oakwood, Fairmont and IHG. He moves to Cebu from his previous role as GM of the Angsana Laguna Phuket.

RORY CAMPBELL has returned to Outrigger to become area director of sales & marketing for the company’s resorts in Phuket and Koh Samui. This is Campbell’s second stint with Outrigger, following an earlier spell as director of sales & marketing for Outrigger Laguna Phuket Beach Resort.

JESSICA KOH has been appointed director of sales & marketing for the InterContinental Robertson Quay. She has 14 years of experience, eight of which have been spent with IHG. Previously, she worked at hotels and in pre-opening teams for the group’s properties in Malaysia and Vietnam.
