LESLIE THNG has been appointed CEO of Vistara, Singapore Airlines’ Indian joint venture. Thng, a former chief executive of SilkAir, was previously the chief commercial officer of Budget Aviation Holdings, which oversees Tigerair and Scoot. He replaces Phee Teik Yeoh at Vistara.
FRANCK KERMARREC has been announced as Millennium Hotels & Resorts’ new global chief marketing officer. He moves to the company from Hertz, where he worked since 2016 as head of business strategy. He also previously held senior roles with IHG.
CAROL WALLER has been appointed as Holiday Inn Resorts’ area general manager for Indonesia and Thailand, as well as being GM of the Holiday Inn Resort Bali Benoa. Originally from Argentina, Ms Waller has spent 16 years with IHG across Asia Pacific and Europe.
SANJEEV SHUKLA has been appointed director of sales & marketing for the new Six Senses Uluwatu, which is scheduled to open in Bali in 2018. An Indian national, Shukla has had spells with Oberoi and The Leela hotels, and most recently worked for Four Seasons in Bali.
GEORGINA WILLIAMS has become Best Western Australasia’s new brand development manager, overseeing the hotel group’s portfolio in Australia and New Zealand. She has previously held senior roles at hotel groups including SilverNeedle, Stamford and Swissotel.
CHRIS NIUH has been named as the new general manager of the One World Hotel Petaling Jaya. Niuh brings 20 years of experience to the role, most recently serving as GM of the Berjaya Langkawi Resort and Georgetown City Hotel, Penang. He has also worked for Sheraton.
BENJAWAN MEKSAKUL has become the new director of sales & marketing at W Koh Samui. A Thai national, Khun Art (as she is better known) has a strong background in hotel sales and marketing, including spells with Minor Hotel Group and the Conrad Koh Samui.
