Starwood Hotels & Resorts has continued to expand its Le Meridien brand in India with the launch of a new property in the central city of Nagpur.
The new Le Meridien Nagpur marks the brand’s 10th hotel in the country, and comes just two months after the opening of the ninth – Le Meridien Mahabaleshwar Resort & Spa.
“The opening of Le Meridien Nagpur marks a milestone moment for the brand, with 10 hotels in India and a robust pipeline in the country,” said Brian Povinelli, global brand leader for Le Meridien.
“Le Meridien is a brand that speaks to today’s creative and curious-minded travellers, and we look forward to welcoming our global guests and local residents to Le Meridien Nagpur.”
The hotel, which recently underwent a major renovation, features 133 rooms and suites, plus a restaurant, bar, outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and spa, plus seven event spaces. The property also includes Le Meridien Hub, the brand’s lobby concept that features a coffee shop and library.
The new hotel marks Starwood’s entry into Nagpur and becomes the company’s 10th property in the state of Maharashtra.
