LEGOLAND Malaysia is to open next month as the first Merlin Entertainments attraction in Asia.
The new theme park, based in Kota Iskandar, Johor, will open on 15 September and have more than 40 rides and shows for families in a growing tourist area 350km from Kuala Lumpur. Tickets are now on sale for single-day passes at a 30% discount of £20 for adults (normally £29) and £15 for children (normally £23) for a limited time.
“Our official opening date has been something we’ve had a lot of enquiries from the public on since the park broke ground in December 2009. I’m pleased to announce that due to the hard work of all of our contractors we will now be opening LEGOLAND Malaysia ahead of schedule by a number of months,” said Siegfried Boerst, general manager of LEGOLAND Malaysia.
