Legoland Malaysia starts work on new 4D ninja ride

Construction work has started on a major new attraction at Legoland Malaysia.
The new ‘Ninjago The Ride’ will be a 4D indoor attraction that incorporates the latest technology to transport riders into a world of ninja warriors.
This technology includes 3D imagery, high-tech sensors and the use of hand movements, enabling up to four riders per car to act like ninja warriors as virtual projectiles fly towards the screen. Riders collect points for their efforts and their scores are displayed at the end. Other effects such as heat, smoke and wind are also incorporated, creating the 4D experience.
With an investment of MYR40 million (US$9.7m), this is the biggest development at Legoland Malaysia since the park was launched by Merlin Entertainments in 2012. The ride is expected to launch in November 2016.

“Ninjago The Ride represents a new class of Legoland attraction in terms of technology, immersion and interactivity. The entire Merlin… team is excited to see how guests react to what will be a world first and completely unique theme park experience.”
The first Ninjago ride launched at Legoland in Denmark earlier this year, and the concept was then rolled out to the company’s Californian resort in April.
