Thai Lion Air, the Bangkok-based low-cost carrier, will add a duo of new domestic routes next month.
The Bangkok Post reports that the airline has been given permission to launch two daily flights linking Bangkok with Trang, in southern Thailand, and a daily service connecting the northern city of Chiang Mai with Surat Thani, the mainland hub close to the islands of Koh Samui and Koh Phagnan.
The second route is significant as it will mark Thai Lion Air’s first domestic flight not originating or terminating in Bangkok.
The LCC, which is a subsidiary of Indonesia’s Lion Air, operates a modern fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft.
