London hoteliers look to repeat Olympics success

London hoteliers are looking to repeat the success the Olympic Games this week with last night its busiest night during the Paralympics.
Committed hotel occupancy for last night’s spectacular opening ceremony was 13.9% higher than the same night last year according to analysts TravelClick, while hotels are on average 8.2% more full than last summer.
Meanwhile at Heathrow the airport welcomed 2, 100 Paralympic athletes and officials last Wednesday and announced it has installed new permanent accessibility improvements for passengers with reduced mobility. The airport is to increase its number of specialist lifts; extra training for staff and volunteers; new lifts and ramps; increasing its buggy fleet; an onsite wheelchair repair service and installing new accessible toilets.
Further north at Manchester Airport, Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists Strictly Wheels performed in the departure hall for British Airways guests.
