MSC cruises has announced that they will be returning to the UK market. From 2018, MSC Magnifica will offer voyages from Southampton to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.
They will be offering five new itineraries out of Southampton, including a 14-day sailing calling at Le Havre, La Coruna, Leixoes, Lisbon, Malaga, Amsterdam and Hamburg.
A North Sea sailing will travel to Stavanger, Bergen, Olden and Alesund in Norway plus a round-UK sailing calling at Southampton, Newcastle, South Queensferry in Edinburgh and Invergordon.
Antonio Paradiso, managing director of MSC Cruises for the UK & Ireland, helped design the new itineraries for MSC Magnifica to match the feedback received from key travel partners to develop a unique product tailored to the preferences of this market.
He said: “I am proud to announce that MSC Cruises is returning to call in the UK with one of our best ships and a unique offering: cruises with less time at sea in both Northern Europe and the Mediterranean.
“I have personally worked with our itineraries team to make this possible and look forward to launching this new product – for which sales will open on November 21st.”
With MSC Preziosa setting sail from Southampton in the autumn of 2017 and MSC Magnifica becoming the star ship in the UK & Ireland for the following season, MSC Cruises is preparing a major comeback to this market.
MSC Meraviglia, the Company’s newest next-generation mega ship, to be christened in June 2017, will also call at Southampton and mark another important step in the growth of MSC Cruises in the UK.
