Making the most of the off-season
Kiroro Resort releases a series of training and fitness videos to get you in shape for the winter ski season
To help guests get ready for the upcoming ski season, Jyunpei Momose, Lead Instructor for the Kiroro Ski & Snowboard Academy presents this series of seven videos to help aspiring skiers and boarders to make the most of their off-season and get into shape for the upcoming season.
Available on Kiroro’s YouTube channel, the short videos give excellent tips on stretching, strengthening and recovery, as demonstrated by Momose. “We can make the most of our summers to get ready for the winter season,” says Momose. “Many people weren’t able to ski at all last year, so we are sharing these tips to help everyone feel comfortable and strong when they head back to the mountains.”
The videos include:
- Maintaining fitness over the summer
- Improving balance and core strength on a Segway
- Practicing balance while at home
- Keeping your gear tuned up; featuring Mr. Ichihashi, professional ski technician
- Dressing appropriately for skiing at Kiroro
- Stretching and strengthening the hips
- Ski training on the mountain
