Malaysia Airlines has confirmed that it will no longer use the MH370 flight number for its Kuala Lumpur-Beijing service.
The now globally-recognised flight code will be retired, “as a mark of respect to the passengers and crew of MH370”, the airline said in a statement today.
Instead, from 14 March 2014 the MH370 and MH371 codes used for the KL-Beijing-KL routing will be changed to MH318 and MH319.
There will be no changes to the frequency or timings of the double-daily service, MAS added.
