Travellers in the north of England will be offered new low-cost flights to the Canary Islands this winter.
Norwegian has unveiled plans to launch two new winter sun routes from Manchester Airport, with services to Gran Canaria commencing on 30 October and flights to Tenerife starting on 1 November.
“This winter is set to get warmer for Manchester as we continue creating even more affordable choices for passengers to Europe’s hottest destinations. We’ve already flown 80,000 passengers to and from Manchester this year and our growth will continue into next year thanks to the popularity of our flights,” said Thomas Ramdahl, Norwegian’s chief commercial officer.
Flights to Gran Canaria will operate every Friday and Sunday for the winter season, while the Tenerife route will run every Tuesday and Saturday all-year-round. Norwegian will serve both routes using its 186-seat, all-economy Boeing 737 aircraft which comes equipped with free in-flight Wi-Fi and live TV.
Norwegian will also fly from Manchester to the mainland Spanish cities of Malaga and Alicante this winter.
