Maoists free one Italian hostage

Maoists in Odisha on Sunday released one of the two Italian hostages. The hostage was released following an “appeal from people and a cross section of society”, reported Zee News. Meanwhile, Odisha’s Chief Minister, Naveen Patnaik said his government would like to resume negotiations with the Maoist-nominated mediators to secure release of the other Italian hostage.
