Marriott International’s push into Taiwan will continue next month, with the opening of a second Aloft hotel in the country.
The high-tech upper-midscale brand made its Taiwanese debut in late 2015, with the opening of the Aloft Taipei Zhongshan. And it will double its nationwide portfolio on 1 January 2017 with the launch of the new Aloft Taipei Beitou.
Located in the north of the city, close to two MRT stations, Aloft Taipei Beitou offers 292 rooms which feature keyless entry systems and high-tech amenities.
Facilities at the hotel include an American-style restaurant, a bar with pool table, and three meeting spaces. Parts of the property are adorned with large digital art displays, including a floor-to-ceiling LED wall.
Marriott also launched its Marriott Hotels & Resorts and Courtyard by Marriott brands in Taiwan in late 2015, while former Starwood brands including Sheraton and W Hotels are also present in the country.
