Marriott International has continued the expansion of its midscale Courtyard brand in China, with the launch of a new hotel in Huizhou, Guangdong province.
The Courtyard by Marriott Boluo is a new 234-room hotel in the Pearl River Delta region, approximately 120km from Shenzhen and Guangzhou airports, and marks the brand’s debut in southern China.
“We are delighted to be leading the way with the first international branded hotel to be launched in the area, as well as gaining ground-breaking new territory for the Courtyard brand,” said Henry Lee, Marriott’s chief operations officer for Greater China.
All the rooms at the new Courtyard offer balconies and 42-inch LCD TVs. Hotel facilities include a restaurant, fitness centre, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a steam room and a garden. There is also 1,405m² of meeting space with seven function rooms, including the Kaisa Ballroom.
Courtyard by Marriott Boluo becomes the 12th Courtyard hotel and 71st Marriott property in China.
