Marriott International has made its debut in Taiwan with the opening of the Taipei Marriott Hotel.

Located in the Dazhi area of Taipei, the 320-room hotel forms part of a new complex that also includes a convention centre, shopping mall and luxury apartments. The property is located 10 minutes’ drive from the city’s Songshan Airport and close to the Jiannan Road MRT station.

“We are delighted to open our doors and welcome guests to Taiwan’s first Marriott branded hotel,” said Henry Lee, Marriott’s chief operations officer for Greater China. “Our close proximity to important landmarks, gorgeous settings and modern facilities make the Taipei Marriott Hotel the ideal choice for business travellers and vacationers.”

The Taipei Marriott Hotel offers 320 rooms and suites which range in size from 40 to 80m², plus a 220m² presidential suite. All rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Taipei.

F&B options at the hotel include international, Japanese Teppanyaki and Chinese restaurants, plus a lobby lounge and a 20th floor bar and grill with an outdoor terrace.

Other facilities include a 19th floor health club with a 24-hour fitness centre, a rooftop swimming pool and a spa, plus a rooftop garden and wedding chapel.

The hotel’s convention centre provides 3,000m² of floor space across 13 meeting rooms, including 1,260m² grand ballroom – the largest in Taiwan.
