Marriott International has launched its luxury JW Marriott brand in Vietnam, with the opening of a new hotel in Hanoi.

The 450-room JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi is spread over 75,000m² and features a unique design that its architect called a ‘reverse skyscraper’.

Located adjacent to the city’s National Convention Center, the contemporary hotel offers a range of facilities including six F&B outlets, with French and Chinese restaurants, plus an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and spa.

The property will also cater for the corporate and events market, with more than 3,600m² of meeting space, including two ballrooms and 17 meeting rooms.

“It gives us great pleasure to introduce the JW Marriott luxury brand to Vietnam,” said Bob Fabiano, general manager of JW Marriott Hanoi. “Vietnam is a hugely appealing market, and we see great growth potential here. It is an honour to lead the first JW Marriott hotel in Vietnam and I am looking forward to providing the best in five-star services to our domestic and international guests.”

JW Marriott Hanoi becomes the third new JW Marriott to open in Asia in the last two months, following earlier openings in Delhi and Bengaluru. Overall, Marriott International expects to more than double its Asian portfolio from 144 open hotels today to more than 330 by 2017.
