Marriott International has opened a new Courtyard hotel next to Tokyo’s main railway station.
Located in the Kyobashi district of the city, the Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Station offers 150 rooms, ranging in size from 16-33m². There is also a selection of women-only rooms. Occupying the first four floors of the newly-built, 21-storey Kyobashi Trust Tower, the new hotel features a range of facilities, including a first-floor café, restaurant and conference facilities for up to 130 people.
The hotel is owned by Japan’s Mori Trust Hotels & Resorts.
“Following on the December 2013 opening of Tokyo Marriott Hotel in Shinagawa, the close alliance of Marriott and Mori Trust has now produced this cutting-edge business hotel,” said Miwako Date, president of Mori Trust. “Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Station provides domestic and international visitors alike an ideal location [and] the highest standards.”
Courtyard by Marriott Tokyo Station is the 15th Marriott International property to open in Japan and the second Courtyard, following the Courtyard Tokyo Ginza Hotel.
