Marriott International has opened another Courtyard hotel in India.
The new Courtyard by Marriott Raipur opened this week in the capital of Chhattisgarh state, becoming the brand’s 14th property in India and its second in Chhattisgarh.
“Central India is evolving at a rapid pace and we want to be a partner in this. Our entry into Raipur is in line with this strategy,” said Neeraj Govil, Marriott’s vice president for South Asia.
“Raipur is an up and coming MICE destination and has also been designated as one of the ‘smart cities’ in the country. This makes it a key player in the region and we believe that our new property will create a new atmosphere and be an integral part of this city’s growth.”
The new Courtyard Raipur offers 96 rooms and 12 suites, all featuring Wi-Fi, LED TVs and coffee machines. Facilities include three F&B outlets, a spa, outdoor pool and fitness centre. It will also be a MICE hub, with a range of meeting rooms and a 425m² ballroom.
The new hotel joins an existing portfolio of Courtyard hotels in Mumbai, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Gurgaon, Agra, Bhopal, Bengaluru, Bilaspur and Kochi.
