Malaysian Airlines (MAS) is still bullish on India despite the weakening Indian economy and will continue to seek growth
opportunities in the country.
The airline has seen a revenue growth of 23% from the Indian market. “India’s performance has been awesome. The current downturn in the Indian economy was being watched carefully, it had not made any difference to the airline’s view that the Indian market is one of strategic importance,” said Duncan Bureau, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution at MAS.
MAS operates from five Indian cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai and Bengaluru to Kuala Lumpur. The airline will commence operations from Kochi, this September.
