Mekong River Cruises has unveiled plans to offer a series of new voyages in Laos.
Between July and December 2015, the company will operate seven cruises down the Mekong River from Chiang Rai, in Thailand’s Golden Triangle region, to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Voyages will last 10-12 days and include a stop in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed town of Luang Prabang.
And in August 2015, Mekong River Cruises operate a shorter four-day cruise between Luang Prabang and Vientiane.
The Chiang Rai-Vientiane cruises will be operated by either the 16-cabin Mekong Explorer riverboat or the 11-cabin Mekong Sun, while the Mekong Sun will be used for the Luang Prabang-Vientiane itinerary.
Both vessels offer en-suite air-conditioned cabins, some of which have balconies, plus a sun deck, restaurant and bar.
