Meliá Hotels International is to transform one of its Magaluf properties into a themed hotel next season following a new deal with its neighbour theme park Katmandu Park.
Next year, the hotel chain will change the Sol Magaluf Park to suit the themes of the theme park and rename the hotel to Sol Katmandu Resort in the process. Guests of the hotel will have unlimited entry to the theme park until 6pm through a private gated entrance. Characters from the theme park will appear in the hotel and events are being planned.
In addition from June this year, clients staying in Sol hotels in Palmanova and Magaluf will receive a ‘Sol FunPass’ with discounted entry into Katmandu and its sister attraction Golf Fantasia.
“We’re excited that our exclusive partnership with Meliá Hotels International will allow us to create Mallorca’s first resort concept experience for their hotel guests,” said Scott Demerau, co-founder of Katmandu and head of holding company Producciones de Parques.
The announcement is part of Meliá’s Calvia resort development.
