In an effort to boost Dubai’s medical tourism strategy, Meraas recently announced launch of Meraas Healthcare.
The new division aims to support Dubai’s medical tourism strategy through addressing its immediate preventive healthcare needs and encouraging patients to seek treatment locally, rather than travelling abroad
Meraas Healthcare will shape a community based, innovative, patient-centric healthcare network that offers a range of preventive, diagnostic, treatment and follow-up outpatient services all within one fully integrated system.
The new entity will translate Meraas’ strategic vision to contribute to the Dubai Medical Tourism Strategy that aims to attract 500,000 medical tourists to the emirate by 2020.
HE Abdulla Al Habbai, group chairman of Meraas, said: “Meraas has identified healthcare as a key sector in which it can play a significant role and create a positive impact on economy and society. Meraas Healthcare will complement existing healthcare landscape in UAE.”
Meraas Healthcare will roll out a holistic approach to diagnostic and outpatient care services. The division will provide up-to-date medical and healthcare solutions that help enhance holistic wellness of individuals and families alike.
