A metro train is planned to link Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar in Gujarat. The Minister of State for Urban Development, Saugata Roy informed the Lok Sabha yesterday that the state government of Gujarat has forwarded the detailed project report for Metro Rail between these two cities.
The Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Company Limited is fully owned by the government of Gujarat and has been incorporated under the Companies Act, 1956. The project is estimated at INR200 crore, however no limit has been fixed.
