Millions of Brits are due to head on a break this weekend, followed by the school half term holiday.
British Airways is due to carry more than 463,000 people from today to warmer climes with New York, Boston, LA, San Francisco and Dubai amongst the busiest, while Eurostar is seeing a 10% increase in passengers travelling this weekend compared to the Jubilee weekend at the same time last year.
Spanish destinations ruled the most popular routes at Gatwick, which sees its 700,000 Bank Holiday passengers due to visit Malaga, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca, Dublin and Faro amongst others.
Bookings have flooded in this week as the last-minute trend continues, with Travel Counsellors seeing sales up a record 17% compared to the same weekend last year.
Many Brits had held off travelling last year due to Jubilee celebrations at home.
