MSC cruises has announced that travellers who join their loyalty programme – MSC Voyagers Club, can receive a status match from a hotel or resort group, a tour operator, or another cruise company.

Travellers will immediately receive a Classic, Silver, Gold or Black membership guaranteeing similar benefits to or higher than those with their existing loyalty programme.

This means frequent travellers who stay loyal to a cruise line because of the benefits they accrue can now easily transfer these perks and take advantage of the opportunity to experience MSC cruises. New opportunities with MSC include, MSC Meraviglia – launching in June this year, or Magnifica, which will be based in Southhampton in 2018.

Portraits MSC Cruises TeamAntonio Paradiso, MSC’s managing director for UK & Ireland, said: “The UK is a key market for MSC Cruises and our aim is to continlly develop our offering and enhance our product. Status match will encourage experienced cruise guests to experience an MSC Cruises ship with the confidence that they will retain their existing benefits and also the benefits of the MSC Voyagers Club.

“Next year MSC Magnifica will sail on 22 dates from Southampton and status match is a great way for us to attract those who already cruise to try this new ex-Southampton offering.”
