MV Adonia makes maiden visit at Zayed Port

Abu Dhabi Ports Company (ADPC) welcomed the first time visitor MV Adonia at Zayed Port. The cruise ship is the sixth of ten scheduled maiden calls in the present cruise season.
The official welcome ceremony witnessed the presence of Captain Jaber Al Shehhi, ADPC’s Western Region Harbor Master along with Captain David Box and his crew.
The MV Adonia has a capacity for 1,083 passengers and crew members. The ship has eight passenger decks and travels with a speed of 18 knots (33km/h). The ‘Adonia’s Asian Grand Adventure 2014’ is the title of the ship’s current world tour and covers 44 ports in 27 countries. After its stop in Abu Dhabi, the MV Adonia will continue its journey via places such as Fujairah, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Mumbai, Athens and Lisbon, before returning to Southampton on 29 April.
