The National Geographic Orion ship will visit England in 2016 as part of 22 one-week European voyages.
The ship will be repositioned to Europe in 2016 to entice back repeat passengers who have already visited the Pacific region where the ship is currently sailing.
Its’ mainly Australian passengers have also determined ship voyages following feedback.
Itineraries in spring through to autumn 2016 will also take in Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland, Holland, Belgium, the Baltics and Scandinavia.
“A vast majority of our past guests have been to the Kimberley and the South Pacific. A ship like National Geographic Orion depends heavily on past guests, and past guests need new geographies – evident by the strength of Australian bookings for the other nine ships in our fleet,” said Jeremy Lindblad, business development director for Australia. “We are committed to providing past guests the most compelling opportunities available on the National Geographic Orion, and have listened to their feedback for new destinations.”
The 102-passenger ship will be joined by special speakers throughout from fields including science, world affairs and journalism.
